PR around Mt.Pleasant To get the word about this challenge and the effectiveness about our idea, we are going to put flyers around town. We will also try to get our message on power bills because everyone will look at it. We are starting an initiative "DRAINING THE SWAMP" to help clean gutters for people who want help. Gutters are an essential candidate for our tests because they carry mosquito larvae regularly. We are currently outreaching to the residents in Mt. Pleasant Community.

The PR initiative will bring to the forefront the serious threat of the Zika Virus and ways that the spread of the virus can be avoided. Social media is essential to getting the message out to as many citizens as possible. We will use all means possible including Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter. One single post can be shared continuously and a broader array of people will be able to receive the ideas we propose.

We would also use print media that is available in Mt. Pleasant as well as Maury County. This includes the Mt. Pleasant newsletter and the Columbia Daily Herald that citizens of Mt.Pleasant can receive. This will hopefully reach the older generation that may not use means such as social media. We also have a local radio station that can give a brief synopsis of our idea and a means to get further information.

If we can spread the word through these ways as well as education on Zika then we hopefully can stop the spread of the Zika virus.
